We are 24 hours on call health care agency, we are looking for Registered Nurses who can travel throughout the Niagara Region, sometimes on short notice. Areas we service include Grimsby, Beamsville, Vineland, Port Colborne, Niagara Falls, St Catharines, Welland, Fort Erie, Niagara-on-the-Lake and all the other cities in the Niagara Region. We require staff to work a minimum of 10 hrs a week and on weekends.

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)

- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
- Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination

Licensed Practical Nurse Specific Skills

- Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
- Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
- Administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
- Take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake and conduct specimen collection
- Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
- Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team

Education
