Position: Retail Compliance Rep

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour + mileage

Job Type: Short-term contract, Monday to Friday (contract hours are approximately 50-60 hrs for the duration of the campaign)

Start Date: August 31

Campaign Dates: September10– December 10

Online Training: August 31

Summerhill is a Canadian leader in running programs that help people use energy more wisely. We design and manage public engagement campaigns that create measurable energy savings. This fall, we're partnering again with Efficiency Manitoba to bring their In-store Instant Rebate Program

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who is passionate about energy efficiency to join our team as a Retail Compliance Representative. The Representative will work on behalf of Efficiency Manitoba to promote the program in stores at select retailers across Winnipeg.

The Retail Compliance

Representative will be responsible for ensuring designated retail locations are compliant with Summerhill’s event standards and will report accordingly. The ideal candidate will enjoy working independently, have access to a reliable vehicle, and have a genuine interest in the environment and energy conservation.

Job Responsibilities

- Travel to designated locations to ensure retailers are compliant with program specifications
- Check signage and displays.
- Notify retailers of necessary changes to ensure program and client needs are met.
- Submit retailer compliance reports to the Program Manager as needed and on time.
- Receive event materials and return to Summerhill at the end of the program
- Complete paid training online.

Job Qualifications/ Requirements

- Experience in merchandising would be an asset
- Access to a reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance
- Familiarity with Google Maps and route mapping software




- Strong verbal and written skills in English
- Flexible schedule to accommodate in-store visits
- Self-motivated with a high level of reliability
- Detail-oriented
- Able to work independently, multi-task and self-manage
- Demonstrate a friendly and professional manner and appearance
- Ability to use Microsoft Windows, Email, Google Maps, and Internet applications
- Possess a smartphone with a data plan (reps will be compensated for data usage for reporting)
- Access to a computer with high-speed internet
- Demonstrate a friendly and qualified manner and appearance
- Education and/or experience in energy efficiency or related field – considered an asset
- Must live in Winnipeg, MB
- Must be available for online training on August 31 - there is also a possibility of delivering POP to Retail Stores ahead of the campaign launch.

Working Conditions

- Occasional heavy lifting required, up to 45 lbs.
