Retail Sales Associate

Macklem’s Baby Store has been serving families for generations by offering quality baby products and knowledgeable customer support in a welcoming retail environment. We are currently looking for a motivated and service-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team in Toronto.

This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced retail setting, and takes pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience. Successful candidates will be confident communicators, dependable team players, and eager to learn about baby gear, safety standards, and product features.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome and assist customers in-store and by telephone
- Guide customers through product selections based on their individual needs and preferences
- Process purchases, exchanges, special orders, and inventory inquiries using retail POS systems
- Support daily store operations including receiving shipments, restocking merchandise, and maintaining organized inventory areas
- Ensure the sales floor, displays, and common areas remain clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Assist with merchandising initiatives, promotional displays, and seasonal product setups

Qualifications:
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous retail or customer service experience considered an asset
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
- Comfortable standing and moving throughout scheduled shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs when required
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Comfortable using POS systems, email, and basic computer programs
- Familiarity with social media platforms is an asset
- Adaptable availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Various other task maybe assigned when needed.

Location: Toronto, Ontario Position Type: Part-TimeAvailability: Minimum 20-25 hours per week with evening and weekend availability required.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
