Roll-Off Driver

Muskoka Rock Company is looking to add an experienced Roll-Off Driver to our team. This position will be based out of Huntsville, ON but will require travel throughout the province.

In this role, you will use an open-top dump truck to haul waste, debris, finished and unfinished granite products to and from company sites and for client deliveries. While you are not expected to help with unloading and loading on every job, you should feel comfortable hooking and unhooking the containers on your truck.

Occasionally you may be required to drive a Single Axle 5 ton Truck & Trailer for delivering or transferring product to/from sites. This will require you to ensure safe loading and unloading procedures are followed as well as ensuring correct load securement techniques are utilized.

Deliveries and transfers will take place in a variety of conditions including: Urban, Residential, Suburban, all seasons and driving conditions can be expected.

The ideal candidate will have trucking experience, be comfortable using two way communication, GPS/mapping software, ELOG, smartphone and company apps.

Duties & Responsibilities

● Haul finished goods, waste or debris

● Ensure proper handling of good including loading, unloading & securing

● Follow all OHSA and MTO legislation

● Completion of daily truck logs, inspections and documentation for pick ups/deliveries/transfers

● Complete hooking and unhooking of containers and trailers

● Operating a Single Axle truck with trailer to deliver finished products, aggregates or landscape products on occasion. This includes loading, unloading, load securement, etc.

● Provide customer service and represent the company when on customer job sites, making deliveries or pick ups and while driving company vehicles

Requirements & Qualifications

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Valid Commercial Drivers License (Minimum of DZ).



A drivers abstract and insurability is a requirement prior to beginning employment with Muskoka Rock Company

● Able to lift up to 50lbs, sit for long periods of time, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach

● Trucking experience and flat deck trailering experience required

● Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience preferred

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
