Position Overview Supply Ontario is a centralized procurement agency established to enable a whole-of-government approach to purchasing goods and services. The organization is modernizing procurement practices across Ontario’s public sector by leveraging digital infrastructure, enterprise platforms, and innovative technology solutions. As part of its continued growth, Supply Ontario is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the rollout and adoption of enterprise cloud and information management platforms.
This role will focus on translating business strategies into technology solutions, facilitating collaboration between business and IT teams, improving customer engagement frameworks, and supporting enterprise solution adoption. The successful candidate will help establish modern business practices through information management, cloud technologies, SaaS solutions, automation, workflow improvements, and enterprise platforms while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Solution Development (45%)
Lead business analysis activities to assess business challenges, opportunities, technology needs, and modernization opportunities.
Conduct requirements gathering sessions including interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
Document functional, non-functional, and volumetric requirements to support solution sizing and selection.
Develop business cases, proposals, briefing notes, cost-benefit analyses, and executive presentations.
Apply business process re-engineering concepts to improve service delivery through:
Automation
Digital forms
Workflow solutions
Electronic signatures
Cloud hosting
SaaS platforms
Perform business, use case, process, data flow, workload, and capacity modeling.
Develop business rules, acceptance criteria, test cases, and test plans.
Support solution evaluation, implementation readiness, and customer acceptance activities.
Apply Information Management principles, policies, records classification practices, and enterprise architecture standards.
Support solutions implemented on enterprise Information Management platforms such as OpenText.
Evaluate vendor proposals, costs, pricing models, and solution alignment with business needs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Client Relationship Management (30%)
Lead stakeholder engagement activities across business, technology, and leadership teams.
Build strong relationships with internal customers and technology teams.
Capture business strategies, operational needs, priorities, and solution requirements.
Develop customer engagement frameworks, intake processes, templates, and governance models.
Facilitate collaboration between business units and enterprise technology teams.
Translate complex technology concepts into business-focused communication.
Prepare presentations and communication materials for audiences ranging from operational teams to executives.
Promote adoption of enterprise platforms and technology capabilities.
Program Support, Risk Management & Reporting (15%)
Identify, document, and assess risks, issues, dependencies, and challenges.
Develop mitigation strategies and resolution plans.
Prepare status reports, executive summaries, and stakeholder updates.
Track opportunities, solutions, deliverables, and project progress.
Support decision-making through analysis, research, and recommendations.
Conduct feasibility studies, environmental scans, jurisdictional reviews, and maturity assessments.
Training, Awareness & Knowledge Transfer (10%)
