Little Canada is a highly detailed and animated journey through Canada in miniature. This 45,000 square ft. permanent attraction opened in summer 2021 in the heart of downtown Toronto and occupies two floors at The Tenor building (Yonge-Dundas Square). Little Canada was voted Ontario's top indoor attraction for 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025!

Job Overview: As part of Little Canada’s Guest Experience team, the Sales Ambassador plays a key role in creating a welcoming, memorable, and engaging environment for our guests, staff, and visitors while driving sales at critical moments throughout the guest journey. Whether working at our Yonge Street entrance, promoting the Little Me Experience, or welcoming guests as a Greeter inside the attraction, you are the face of Little Canada. Your natural charm, confidence, and enthusiasm help guests feel valued, cared for, and inspired to explore everything Little Canada has to offer.
At the entrance, you will actively engage passers-by, share the wonder and uniqueness of Little Canada, and use your sales skills to convert curiosity into admission sales. Inside the attraction, you will showcase the Little Me Experience, educating guests on its value and transforming interest into memorable purchases. As a Greeter, you will proactively connect with guests, answer questions, share knowledge about the attraction, and support ticket and experience sales through a warm and informative approach.
Through every interaction, you will help create exceptional guest experiences while contributing to revenue growth. This role is ideal for outgoing, customer-focused individuals with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for turning guest engagement into meaningful sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and create a friendly, engaging, and memorable first impression of Little Canada.
- Proactively engage passers-by, spark interest in the attraction, and encourage them to visit.
- Promote the Little Canada's attraction, the little-me experiences, events, and admission options with enthusiasm and confidence.
- Use consultative selling techniques to identify guest interests, communicate value, and convert interactions into sales.
- Confidently answer guest questions and provide accurate information about the attraction, promotions, accessibility, and visitor experience.
- Recognize and respond effectively to guest objections, using positive communication and relationship-building skills to maximize sales opportunities.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the guest journey, ensuring every interaction is welcoming, professional, and memorable. Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities throughout the guest’s visit.
- Build rapport with guests of all ages and backgrounds while creating a positive and inclusive environment.
- Assist guests with wayfinding, general inquiries, and basic accessibility needs to enhance their overall experience.
- Exercise sound judgment when responding to challenging situations and use de-escalation techniques to resolve guest concerns professionally and respectfully.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a welcoming, organized, and guest-focused environment.
- Support daily operational needs and other guest experience initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, retail, customer service, hospitality, tourism, or another customer-facing environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to confidently engage with the public and create positive customer experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of guests.
- Comfortable initiating conversations and proactively approaching guests.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and welcoming attitude.
- Ability to clearly communicate product features, promotions, and admission options in an engaging and persuasive manner.
- Strong sales, influencing, and objection-handling skills with the ability to convert guest interactions into ticket sales.
- Proven ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused when handling challenging guest interactions, using de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Versatile to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional guest experience.
- Maintains a professional appearance and approachable, positive demeanour.
Working Conditions:
- This is a highly interactive, guest-facing role requiring continuous engagement with people throughout each shift. Team members are expected to maintain a positive, energetic,
and professional presence while delivering exceptional customer service and promoting Little Canada and little me.
- Frequent interaction with large volumes of guests, visitors, and members of the public in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including the Little Canada B1 entrance, the Yonge Street entrance, within the attraction, and at Yonge-Dundas Square. Outdoor duties involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to the dynamic social and environmental conditions of the Yonge and Dundas neighbourhood.
- Requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving.
- May occasionally lift or move promotional materials or other items up to 50 lbs.
