September - June this position operates Monday to Friday 3 hours per day, 9 hours every Professional Development Public School Board Day, 9 hours per day during Winter Break, March Break.

Opportunity to work full time during the summer with our Summer School program!

Optional: Ability to perform permanent or occasional substitute work at Early Years program.

Duties

- Supervise and engage children in structured and unstructured activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Plan and implement age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational activities that encourage creativity and teamwork
- Ensure the safety of all children by monitoring behavior and maintaining a secure environment at all times
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative atmosphere




- Support the setup and cleanup of activity spaces to maintain a clean and organized environment
- Follow all program policies, procedures, and licensing requirements to ensure compliance and safety standards are met

Skills

- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
- Communication skills to connect with children, parents, and team members
- Energetic, positive attitude with a passion for supporting children's growth and development
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to child supervision

Requirements

- Clean Criminal Background Check/VSC or ability to produce one before employment
- First Aid/CPR Certificate or ability to produce one before employment
- PEI School-Age Child Care Provider certificate or willingness to obtain one before employment
