Carp Garden Centre is looking for a friendly, reliable team member to join our team beginning in mid to late August.

This is a seasonal position with an anticipated end date of December 31, offering 20–40 hours per week depending on the time of year and weather. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to return for the 2027 season beginning in early March.

As a locally owned, family-run garden centre, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

- Assist customers with plant and garden product purchases
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions
- Water and care for plants throughout the garden centre and greenhouse
- Receive, price, and merchandise new inventory
- Keep displays neat, organized, and well stocked
- Help load trees, shrubs, soil, mulch, and other products into customer vehicles
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming retail environment
- Assist with seasonal transitions and general garden centre operations
- Support other team members wherever needed





What We're Looking For
- Friendly, approachable, and enjoys working with people
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the day
- Retail, garden centre, nursery, or landscaping experience is an asset but not required—we're happy to train the right person.

Position Details
- Start Date: Mid to late August 2026
- Hours: 20–40 hours per week
- Season: Through December 31, 2026
- Opportunity: Solid performers will be invited to return for the spring 2027 season beginning in early March.
- Weekend availability is required.
