About Us vbs apparel is a growing custom apparel company specializing in high-quality decoration and fulfillment. We are currently looking for a Seasonal Heat Press Operator to join our Calgary production team for a 3-month term, with the possibility of extension.

About the Role The Heat Press Operator is responsible for efficiently operating heat press equipment to apply logos, decals, and transfers onto apparel and textile products. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistent quality, maintaining production standards, and keeping workflow organized.

What You’ll Do

- Set up and calibrate heat press machines (temperature, pressure, dwell time).
- Operate the heat press: load garments, apply transfers, initiate pressing cycles, and unload finished items.
- Inspect completed items for quality: alignment, adhesion, and finish.
- Re-press or correct defective items to meet standards.
- Sort and organize pressed items by order, label appropriately, and prepare for the next stage.
- Maintain and clean heat press equipment, performing basic preventative maintenance.
- Record production data (job numbers, quantities, machine settings, quality notes).
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritize urgent orders and balance workflow.





What We’re Looking For

- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training in heat press operations is an asset).
- Experience operating heat press equipment in a production setting is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and tracking.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle garments/equipment.
- Good organizational skills to sort, label, and group finished products.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
