As part of its continued growth, the company has launched a specialized foundations division focused on technically demanding piling, ground improvement and shoring work. The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead the pursuit of complex foundation, ground improvement, shoring and heavy civil projects. This is not simply a position focused on quantities and pricing. You will have a meaningful voice in bid strategy, risk assessment, procurement and pre-construction planning. You will also help mentor junior estimators and strengthen the estimating capabilities of a growing specialty contractor.

As Senior Estimator, you will take ownership of full-cycle estimates for land piling, foundation and heavy civil projects. You will work closely with operations, project management, suppliers, subcontractors and senior leadership to develop accurate, competitive and executable proposals.





Your work will directly influence which projects the company pursues and how they are successfully delivered.

What You’ll Do

- Lead estimates for complex lump-sum, negotiated and design-assist projects
- Review drawings, specifications, geotechnical information and contract documents
- Develop detailed labour, equipment, material and subcontractor pricing
- Identify project risks, constructability concerns and value-engineering opportunities
- Prepare bid strategies, clarifications, qualifications and tender submissions
- Coordinate pricing with subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams
- Support procurement, scheduling and pre-construction planning
- Participate in bid reviews, handover meetings and post-tender negotiations
- Maintain historical cost information and support continuous improvement of estimating systems
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior estimators

What You Bring

- At least eight years of construction estimating experience
- Experience in piling, foundations, ground improvement, shoring, marine construction or heavy civil projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, production rates, equipment and project risks
- Demonstrated success preparing lump-sum and negotiated bids
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with construction estimating software
- HeavyBid experience is considered an asset
- Strong analytical,



organizational and problem-solving abilities
- The confidence to challenge assumptions and contribute to strategic bid decisions
- Transparent communication and the ability to collaborate with technical and operational teams
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting developing estimators

Compensation and Benefits The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 per year , based on experience, qualifications and internal equity. The total compensation package includes:
