Senior Java Application Support Engineer – Java, Spring, SOAP, SSL/TLS & Production Support

Required Skills

- Minimum 12+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development and production application support.
- Strong experience supporting mission-critical systems in complex enterprise environments.

Security & SSL/TLS

- In-depth knowledge of SSL/TLS concepts.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Server, Client, and CA Certificates
- Keystores and Truststores
- SSL configuration and troubleshooting in enterprise applications

Java & Framework Expertise

- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8 and Java 17.
- Solid working knowledge of the Spring Framework (legacy applications).
- Proven ability to debug, enhance, and optimize legacy Java codebases.

Service Technologies

- Strong expertise in SOAP Web Services.
- Deep understanding of RESTful services, including:
- Legacy REST implementations using JAX-RS/Jersey
- Contemporary REST service development approaches
- Good understanding of:
- Service design
- System integration
- Backward compatibility





Application Support & Batch Processing

- Strong experience providing production application support.
- Expertise in:
- Production support processes
- Incident triage
- Root cause analysis
- Issue resolution
- End-to-end operational ownership of applications
- Experience supporting batch-intensive environments, including:
- Job scheduling
- Job monitoring
- Batch troubleshooting
- Supporting high-volume batch jobs
- Hands-on experience executing and troubleshooting:
- Shell scripts
- Database procedures
- SQL queries

Database Skills

- Strong knowledge of SQL and core database concepts.
- Proven experience with:
- Executing stored procedures
- Fine-tuning stored procedures
- Optimizing complex SQL queries
- Database performance troubleshooting

Unix / Linux & Scripting

- Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience with shell scripting for automation, troubleshooting, and production support.
