LIBERTY BAPTIST CHURCH SEEKS A LEAD PASTOR

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Liberty Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a bi-vocational lead pastor whose heart is that of an evangelist and shepherd,

devoted to prayer and the ministry of the Word (Acts 6:4), disciple-making, pastoral care, and sharing the Gospel with the lost. His calling, spiritual gifts, passion, vision, experience, and education should complement this commitment.

Reporting to the church congregation, the lead pastor will spiritually nurture the church and help develop plans for a healthy,

sustainable ministry. His responsibilities will include preaching and teaching the Word of God from the King James

Version, providing spiritual oversight and leadership, equipping deacons and members for ministry, offering biblical counsel,

and administering church ordinances.

Qualifications

- Meets the biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9, with a godly character and

good reputation.
- Has a transparent testimony of salvation, a definite call to pastoral ministry, and a strong commitment to soul-winning and

discipleship.
- Will preach and teach from the King James Version.
- Agrees with and supports the Statement of Faith, mission, and pastoral expectations of Liberty Baptist Church.




- Relates well to people of different ages and backgrounds and can encourage, equip, and mobilize ministry teams.
- Demonstrates sound biblical judgment, pastoral care, leadership ability, and a willingness to serve in a bi-vocational role.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent training in biblical studies, Christian ministry, or theology from a recognized Christian

institution is preferred.
