Senior Transport Refrigeration Technician – Shop or Road

About You.

We are excited to be seeking a passionate and full-time, permanent member to join our team. With a high degree of initiative, this individual is a self-starter who demonstrates an unwavering commitment to workplace practices. Your exceptional organizational and time management skills enable you to coordinate, optimize and work efficiently.

You are a highly skilled and technical mechanic with 3 years experience in the world of transport refrigeration. You are knowledgeable with electrical, mechanical, and operational functions of refrigerated units such as APU’s, reefers, and heaters. You are willing to mentor and support our Jr. level technicians within the company at multiple locations.

You are flexible to work on the road, in a service truck across Winnipeg.

What you will do

· Position is required 5 days a week

· Position is required at 986 Wall Street and (or) on the road

· Service equipment as required and avoid unnecessary down time

· Inspect, diagnose, and repair refrigerated equipment, APU’s, and diesel heaters

· Perform maintenance services

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment (in service trucks and in shop)

· Able to perform repairs outside of the shop

· Ability to adapt to changing situations / circumstances

· Able to work effectively with a team and individually

· Understand the importance of communication and customer service

· Create an environment that nurtures teamwork, efficiency and celebrates success

Qualifications

· Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience

· Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean abstract, three (3) years

· Willing to obtain WHIMIS and TDG training / certification (CTR covers cost)

· Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis

· Excellent customer service and communication skills

· Knowledge and ability to use computers

· Related experience / customer service is an asset
