Senior Technology Architect – Ontario Public Sector (Contract | Remote)

? Location: Toronto, ON (100% Remote)

? Contract We're looking for an experienced Senior Technology Architect to lead enterprise and solution architecture initiatives for critical Ontario Public Sector projects supporting Water Information Systems (WISKI), Weather Module, and Great Lakes Storm Surge Operating System (GLSSOS). Key Requirements

10+ years of Solution/Enterprise Architecture experience in large, complex organizations (OPS/Public Sector preferred)

Solid expertise in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, TOGAF, Zachman, and GO-ITS standards

Experience across business, application, information, technology, and security architecture domains

Hands-on experience designing enterprise-scale Azure Cloud, COTS/SaaS solutions, and systems integrations





Experience creating architecture artifacts using PowerDesigner, Visio, or similar tools

Strong understanding of governance processes, security/privacy assessments (PIA, TRA), and stakeholder management

Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end solution architecture and enterprise architecture activities

Develop architecture models, diagrams, and technical artifacts

Ensure alignment with OPS Enterprise Architecture standards and governance

Collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, and project teams

Support architecture reviews, approvals, risk management, and knowledge transfer

Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle
