Overview:

District Ice Cream is looking for a confident, hands-on Shift Leader to help lead our team in a fast-paced, high-volume, high standard environment.

This role is more than opening and closing the shop. We are looking for someone who is aware of everything happening around them, leads by example, and keeps each shift running smoothly from start to finish with a very upbeat and positive attitude. From supporting the team and maintaining exceptional customer service to managing the flow of the shop during busy rushes, you are the calm, organized presence that keeps everything on track.

What you'll do:

- Lead and support the team throughout each shift.
- Ensure every guest receives friendly, attentive service.
- Monitor workflow, cleanliness, food safety, and presentation standards.
- Coach team members in the moment and address issues as they arise.
- Delegate tasks, manage priorities,



and adapt quickly during busy periods.
- Open or close the shop following established procedures.
- Maintain a positive, energetic atmosphere while holding the team accountable.

We're looking for someone who:

- Is a natural leader with excellent communication skills.
- Stays calm under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Has robust attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Takes initiative and solves problems without waiting to be asked.
- Leads with professionalism, positivity, and accountability.
- Has previous leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality, food service, or retail.
