JOB SUMMARY :
The incumbent plays a strategic and essential role in optimizing medical products to ensure the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the care provided within the Vitalité Health Network. She is responsible for planning, coordinating, conducting clinical evaluations, and providing support related to the introduction, optimal use, and standardization of medical products, drawing on best practices, evidence-based data, and professional standards.
Exercising clinical and administrative leadership, the coordinator acts as a consultant and change facilitator for healthcare staff and clinical teams throughout the product evaluation, implementation, and transition processes. She applies critical thinking to assess the impact of medical products on clinical outcomes, patient safety, and the quality and continuity of care. She actively contributes to ensuring that appropriate medical products are used safely, appropriately, and efficiently, promoting quality care and a positive experience for both patients and employees.
With a view to sound resource management, she works closely with the procurement and supply chain departments and clinical stakeholders to support product standardization, optimize contractual agreements, and ensure the prudent use of financial resources, all while meeting clinical needs.
In the event of challenges or supply disruptions, she actively participates in identifying secure and viable solutions, in collaboration with the relevant teams,
to ensure continuity of care.
The work is carried out with a high degree of autonomy, in close collaboration with colleagues and clinical and operational teams. It involves ongoing planning, organization, coordination, clinical evaluation, and follow-up.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Valid registration with the New Brunswick College of Nursing (NBCN);
- Bachelor's degree in nursing;
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a clinical hospital setting;
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 suite and other software commonly used within the Network;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Proven ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment;
- Strong aptitude for teaching, training, and clinical mentoring;
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively;
- Well-developed clinical judgment and critical thinking skills, with demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
- Good work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
