Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the effective movement of goods in and out of our facility, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations. Your energetic approach will help us meet customer demands promptly while upholding safety and quality standards.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your skills in warehouse management, logistics, and equipment operation will shine. Your hours of work will be from Monday to Friday from 8 am - 5 pm with weekend work when necessary.

Receiving Responsibilities

- Unload incoming trucks and deliveries
- Inspect goods for damage and verify counts against purchase orders
- Label, sort, and route items to correct warehouse storage spots

Shipping Responsibilities
- Pack, weigh, and label outgoing orders securely




- Prepare shipping documents like bills of lading and invoices
- Coordinate with freight drivers and loading schedules

Record Keeping and Safety
- Enter shipment data into computerized inventory systems
- Report stock shortages or damaged products immediately
- Operate warehouse tools like hand trucks or forklifts

Experience:
- Prior shipping/receiving experience
- operation of a forklift (propane or electric)
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more
- Physical aspect: bending, lifting, walking, moving for majority of shift

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate

- Barrie, ON L4M 4Z9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:
- Shipping & receiving: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
