AMT Robotics Inc. designs and builds advanced automation equipment for building component manufacturers. We are a fast-growing company with a small dynamic team working to develop and produce cutting-edge equipment.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Shop Technician to support our manufacturing and assembly operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC equipment and a solid understanding of electrical systems. This is a key role in building, assembling, and testing equipment that will be shipped to customers across North America.

Responsibilities

· Operate and maintain CNC machines (setup, adjustments, basic programming).

· Assemble mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of automation equipment.

· Assist in wiring, electrical panel building, and troubleshooting electrical systems.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

· Perform quality checks to ensure components meet required specifications.

· Support installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work setting.

· Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve shop floor challenges.

· Other tasks as required.

Qualifications

· Minimum Grade 12 education

· Good English language skills, written and oral

· 2+ years of experience in a shop,



manufacturing, or machine-building environment.

· Basic CNC machine operation knowledge (milling, routing, or similar).

· Familiarity with electrical wiring, circuits, and safety standards.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

· Comfortable using hand and power tools eg. band saw, drills, wrenches.

· Basic computer skills.

· Attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and safety.

· We are located just west of Winnipeg, inside the Perimeter.

· Our address is #2 – 27 South Landing Drive, Oak Bluff

· There is no public transportation to our address, therefore you must be prepared to provide your own transportation.

· Our hours of operation are 7:00am to 3:30pm, with overtime as required.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
