Pine Valley Corporation is an established municipal civil and landscape construction contractor specializing in parks, streetscapes, trails, playgrounds, sports facilities, site servicing, and other public infrastructure projects throughout Southern Ontario.

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment/Skid Steer Operator to join our growing team..

Responsibilities

- Operate skid steers safely and efficiently on a variety of municipal construction projects.
- Operate additional heavy equipment including such as mini-excavators
- Perform grading, excavation, material handling, site preparation, trenching, backfilling, and fine grading.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete pre-start inspections.
- Perform routine maintenance, including greasing, cleaning, fueling, and reporting mechanical issues.
- Read and follow site plans, grade stakes, and direction from supervisors.
- Work closely with foremen, supervisors, and labour crews to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Comply with all Pine Valley Corporation safety policies, Ministry of Labour regulations, and site-specific health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of experience operating skid steers in a construction environment.
- Experience operating mini excavators, excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment is considered a robust asset.




- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify equipment maintenance needs.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physically capable of performing manual labour when required.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence required.
- DZ Licence is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work.
