SUMMARY

This role is one of 5 Regional Sales Managers for the Canadian market and manages all sales activities for Alberta & Saskatchewan, as well as directly overseeing and supporting the sales activity of two strategic national accounts. This senior sales role is responsible for penetrating this region via a variety of segments of the Foodservice Industry. Specific focus is on the specification of products with Major End Users (chains, contract feeders, grocery etc.).

Managing Dealer Distribution

Relationships and growing relationships throughout all distribution channels is required as is a thorough understanding of and ability to develop relationships from Manufacturer to End User. This remote position supports all functions related to sales including supporting promotions, price increases and all Company requirements. This role provides sales tools and product training to downstream sales contacts/reps and has frequent interactions with the Canadian head office team (Customer Service, SCM, Finance, Marketing, Product Development, etc.).

Responsibilities

This role is a key sales management position that provides interaction with customers and representatives on a local, regional, and national basis. It requires demonstrated leadership in the areas of sales planning, sales management, customer relations, sales performance with a strong independent self-managed work ethic.

Sales Management Responsibilities To promote Company products and manufacturing capabilities to regional and national chain restaurants, franchisees groups, hospitality companies, government suppliers, and other operators as directed to achieve/exceed Sales Volumes, Objectives and KPI Goals.

To manage, train, and set defined objectives for dealers, and distributors.





To develop and maintain long-term relationships with VIP accounts and other key targeted customers to ensure effective participation in programs and product penetration goals.

To advise the Director of Sales of market activities relating to volume activity or potential to ensure effective communication, proper inventory levels and follow-up at the Head Office.

To participate in strategic sessions that support competitive long-term plans.

To collaborate with and assist other team members as needed to ensure market penetration To represent the Company at national and regional trade shows, group and customer conferences and sales meetings where required.

High travel requirement (car/air) in large Alberta/Saskatchewan territory is required at ~ 50%

To report competitive activities related to new products, pricing, catalogues, special programs, market activities, and to obtain competitive product samples where directed.

To determine current product opportunities for existing markets, and to identify new market segments for both new and existing products.

To ensure achievement of annual targets (Territory Budget & Goals)

Administrative Responsibilities To deliver all reporting and ongoing CRM sales pipeline leads and updates as required To discuss and provide planned travel itineraries and anticipated ROI to leader for all travel

Providing accurate forecasting on sales leads to ensuring service levels and control inventory costs.

To contain sales/travel expenses while maintaining effective market management.

No direct reports. Position has support from an inside Sales Coordinator role.

Qualifications

Education and Experience





Post-secondary degree/diploma in business or related for broad business acumen

5-8 years related experience in Foodservice Industry operations & leadership

Knowledge of commercial/non-commercial food service industry channels, representatives, and key clients. Previous experience and successes calling on major foodservice end users

Ability to make independent decisions in accordance with Company policy.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose positive business solutions to problems.

Ability to report data clearly/concisely via spreadsheets and forecast data from systems

Ability to effectively present information to customers (locally and nationally) at all levels

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in MS Office e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Power BI

Familiar with AI and utilization of AI to streamline work and create efficiencies in daily tasks

Strong proficiency in managing virtual meetings to offset travel where it makes sense

Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) or similar for sales leads management and to generate Auto Quotes

Compensation

Base Salary Range $85K to $105K based on experience and qualifications
