Position Title: Drafting Detailer – Metal Fabrication

Nsafe Industries is a fast-growing engineering and fabrication company specializing in the engineering, design, supply, manufacture and installation of various fall protection, structural steel and miscellaneous metal products. For over 20 years, Nsafe has been a leader in fall safety and steel fabrication.
Position Profile
We are currently seeking a full time metal drafting detailer to join our growing engineering team. This individual will have experience with SolidWorks as well as knowledge and/or experience related to structural design specific to metal. As an experienced technician, you will be working within a project team to design and prepare shop/production drawings for the fabrication of various metal products like beams, stairs and other structural elements.

Qualifications
- Engineering or Technician Degree or Diploma (Structural, Mechanical, Civil) considered an asset
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Knowledge of design standards, specifications, and materials associated with metal fabrication
- Excellent knowledge of SolidWorks
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with engineers, fabricators and other stakeholders
- Ability to problem solve and make timely well-thought-out decisions
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during the detailing process
Responsibilities
- Preparing drawings using SolidWorks
- Other duties as may arise from time to time may be assigned to the employee
