Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our finance team! We are AMJ specializing in logistics, final mile, moving, and storage. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing complex accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the company's financial health.

Your expertise will help streamline accounting processes, facilitate compliance, and provide insightful analysis to guide strategic decision-making. Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
- Perform detailed account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to verify data integrity across various ledgers.
- Support payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate salary and commission disbursements in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities, investigating issues thoroughly and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist with budgeting activities by providing detailed financial data and forecasts for management review.
- Collaborate with internal teams on auditing procedures,



ensuring all financial practices meet regulatory standards and internal controls are maintained.
- Be a champion for our new Accounting Software, Moveware. Coming up with streamlined procedures and using the system to the fullest to ensure efficiency.

Requirements

- Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting standards.
- Familiarity with corporate finance functions including budgeting, auditing, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for account analysis and problem-solving.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and continuously improve accounting workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus but not required.
