Duties
- Attend classes with assigned student(s) and provide accommodation-related support
- Take accurate and comprehensive notes for assigned student(s)
- Organize and attend regular sessions with assigned student(s) to provide support with academic tasks, including scribing assignments, essays, tests/exams
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Work flexible hours that correspond to student schedules, including evenings and weekends
- Assist proctoring tests and examinations in the SAS Test Centre according to established procedures
- Attend training and communicate regularly with the supervisor; and other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
- Demonstrated sound judgment and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and/or with others effectively
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
- Ability to identify and record essential lecture content accurately and effectively
- Robust attention to detail, problem solving skills, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and general computer applications
- Successful completion of at least two years of post-secondary education
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or in an educational settings is considered an asset;
