Manager, Tax

Location: Ottawa, ON or Greater Toronto Area, Hybrid / Remote

Compensation: $100,000 to $120,000 CAD (Permanent) + Bonus & Benefits

Language: Excellent written and verbal English communication required. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.

Our client, a well-established public accounting firm, is seeking a Manager, Tax to join its collaborative and growing team. Your Responsibilities

- You'll review corporate and personal tax returns while ensuring compliance with Canadian tax legislation.
- You'll provide tax planning and advisory support to clients, helping them navigate complex tax matters.
- You'll mentor and coach junior team members by reviewing work, providing guidance,



and supporting their professional development.
- You'll conduct tax research and recommend practical solutions to technical issues.
- You'll collaborate closely with Partners to deliver exceptional client service and identify opportunities to strengthen long-term client relationships.
- You'll contribute to process improvements and support a high standard of technical excellence across the team.

Skills and Qualifications

- 4+ years of progressive Canadian public accounting experience with a focus on Canadian Tax.
- CPA designation completed or actively pursuing the final stages of completion.
- Strong experience with Corporate and Personal Tax. Exposure to U.S. Tax is considered an asset.
- Experience reviewing tax files and supporting tax planning engagements.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and build strong client relationships.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with TaxPrep or similar tax software is considered an asset.
