POSITION SUMMARY The Mule To Go in Westdale is a takeout-first kitchen, and the Team Member is the person guests actually meet. You'll spend most of your time at the window - taking orders, running the POS, packing food, and getting people on their way with the right bag and a good feeling about it.

The rest of your week is behind the pass: prep, the line, and keeping the kitchen stocked and clean. It's a fast counter in a busy neighbourhood, so we're looking for someone who moves quickly, reads a rush, and likes talking to people.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AT THE TAKEOUT WINDOW

- Greet every guest at the window, take orders accurately, and answer questions about the menu, heat levels and allergens.
- Run Toast POS - ring in orders, handle cash and card, and close out your float at the end of the shift.
- Check every bag before it leaves: right order, right sides, sauces, cutlery, sealed and labelled.
- Manage third-party delivery orders and pickups - keep drivers moving and keep tickets in the right order.
- Give guests honest wait times during a rush, and keep them updated if a ticket runs long.
- Handle complaints and mistakes on the spot where you can, and loop in the manager when you can't.
- Keep the window, counter and front-facing space clean, stocked and looking like somewhere people want to eat from.

IN THE KITCHEN
- Work prep to spec - salsas, proteins, garnishes and portioning, following the recipe cards every time.




- Cover a station on the line during service and build items to the standard, plate after plate.
- Restock your station and the window through the shift so nobody is hunting for product mid-rush.
- Follow food safety and health & safety procedures: labelling, dating, rotation, temperature logs and safe handling.
- Run opening, closing and cleaning duties - dish pit, sanitation, garbage and deep-clean tasks included.
- Flag low stock, waste and equipment issues to the General Manager before they become a problem.
- Learn new menu items and features as they roll out, and pick up additional stations over time.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS
- 1+ year in quick service, counter service or a takeout window.
- Comfortable on a POS and handling cash - Toast experience is a plus, but we'll train you on it.
- Any kitchen or prep experience is welcome - not required, since you'll learn the stations here.
- Ontario Food Handler's certification is an asset. If you don't have it, we'll help you get it.
- Available for a mix of weekday, evening and weekend shifts.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
- You actually like people. Guests can tell the difference.
- Quick and accurate under pressure - a line out the door doesn't rattle you.
- Detail-oriented with orders. The bag is right before it leaves.
- Reliable. You show up on time and your team can count on you.
- Willing to jump between the window and the kitchen depending on what the shift needs.
- Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 30 lbs.

Pay: $17.60-$22.00 per hour
