About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Test Automation Engineer – Payments to support large-scale payment modernization initiatives for a leading global financial institution.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on next-generation payment platforms, automating end-to-end testing across domestic and international payment systems while contributing to high-profile transformation programs involving ISO 20022, SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, RTP, and FedNow.

You’ll work alongside Business Analysts, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Product Owners to build scalable automation frameworks and improve software quality across mission-critical payment applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable automation frameworks for payment applications and APIs.
- Build automated test scripts covering payment initiation, routing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling.
- Automate validation of ISO 20022 (MX), SWIFT MT/MX message transformations, XML, and JSON payloads.
- Develop reusable automation components for APIs, microservices, and message-based integrations.
- Perform end-to-end testing across domestic and cross-border payment workflows.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Support continuous testing in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Execute performance, resilience, and high-volume transaction testing.
- Validate AML, sanctions screening, compliance controls, and operational reporting.
- Participate in sprint planning, defect triage, root cause analysis,



and release validation.
- Drive continuous improvement in automation coverage, framework design, and testing efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in QA Automation within banking, payments, or financial services.
- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as:
- Selenium
- RestAssured
- Karate
- Cypress
- Proficiency in Java or Python.
- Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong knowledge of payment processing and payment lifecycles.
- Experience working with one or more payment schemes:
- SWIFT
- ISO 20022
- SEPA
- ACH
- RTP
- FedNow
- Experience validating MT/MX messages, XML, and JSON.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience using Git and test management/defect tracking tools.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Nice to Have
- Experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or other performance testing tools.
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working on payment modernization or cloud migration programs.
- Knowledge of transaction banking or wholesale banking platforms.
