Duties

- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods between locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition for operation
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting, while ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery receipts, and route reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse teams to coordinate pickups and deliveries




- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage during transportation
- Assist with route planning to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency

Experience

- Proven experience driving heavy trucks or commercial vehicles with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of loading/unloading processes
- Familiarity with local and regional traffic laws and safety regulations for commercial drivers
- Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation, and safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond to logistical needs
