About the Company

Our company is a growing interior furnishing company specializing in custom upholstery, drapery, blinds, flooring, wallpaper, furniture, and custom home décor solutions. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our production team in Vancouver.

Responsibilities

- Upholster residential and commercial furniture including sofas, chairs, ottomans, headboards, benches, and cushions.
- Remove existing upholstery, inspect furniture frames, and prepare pieces for reupholstery.
- Measure, cut, and sew fabrics, vinyl, and leather accurately.
- Install padding, foam, springs, webbing, and batting as required.
- Operate industrial sewing machines and upholstery tools safely.
- Read work orders and follow specifications for custom projects.
- Perform repairs and modifications to existing furniture.
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and quality control.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving furniture when required.

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of upholstery experience (residential or commercial preferred).




- Experience working with a variety of upholstery fabrics and materials.
- Ability to use industrial sewing machines and common upholstery equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift and move furniture safely.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with custom furniture manufacturing.
- Knowledge of pattern matching and fabric layouts.
- Experience with leather upholstery.
- Basic woodworking or furniture repair skills are considered an asset.
