Responsibilities
- Demonstrate awareness of resident‑centered care topics (e.g., infection control, continence care, oral/skin care, resident safety, nutrition, dementia, etc.)
- Be skilled and able to prioritize and complete tasks effectively without compromising the care and compassion provided to residents even when under stress
- Follow the Plan of Care, observe and report any substantial changes in resident’s care, document changes into the system,
and communicate to the Neighborhood Coordinator or village registered team member
- Respect the rights and dignity of all residents, families, team members, and visitors to the Village and address any requests with professionalism and care
- Support and embrace our resident‑centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of service to our residents, visitors, and team members through comprehensive and effective support
- Participate in a multi‑disciplinary team approach
- Participate and successfully complete medication administration training provided by the village (only if posting for a medication admin position)
Qualifications
- Provide a diploma or certificate from an accredited Personal Support Worker (PSW) program (or provincial equivalent certificate program)
