CGMH is seeking a Registered Nurse for our PACU team, managing patient care before and after surgery. This role emphasizes critical thinking, collaboration with surgical teams, and education for patients regarding their surgical journeys. You will monitor vital signs, manage pain control, and ensure protected recoveries in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct preoperative assessments for surgical candidates
• Educate patients on recovery expectations and care
• Monitor patients in PACU post-anesthesia
• Manage vital signs,



oxygenation, and comfort levels
• Identify and respond to postoperative complications
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum of two years’ critical care nursing experience
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification
• PACU Certificate or willing to obtain within 6 months
• Critical Care or Emergency Department Certification
