About the client:The organization we are representing is a fast-growing, construction-focused equipment rental company serving contractors who demand trusted equipment, high service levels, and partners who solve complex site challenges. They supply a broad range of fleet and site-support solutions and are building a differentiated business around operational excellence, reliability, and customer experience.They are currently seeking a Director of Operations who can build and run the internal operating engine that makes sustainable growth possible. The new hire will be responsible for professionalizing day-to-day execution, institutionalizing best practices, and building the operational backbone that allows the organization to scale efficiently and predictably.This full-time, permanent role owns execution across operations, maintenance, logistics, parts, rentals, systems, and people development and will be based in Delta, BC.Responsibilities:Operational LeadershipOwn full day-to-day operations including yard operations, logistics and dispatch, maintenance, parts, and rental executionRevamp, enforce, and continuously improve Operational processes and workflows.Design and implement operational capacity plans to stay ahead of the company's growth trajectoryEnsure every department is executing to defined standards and metrics with clear accountability at every levelProactively surface and resolve operational bottlenecks before they impact customers or revenuePartner with the business leader to translate strategic priorities into operational action plansSystems & ProcessBuild and maintain a centralized, version-controlled SOP library ensuring it is documented, actively used, and updatedCreate role-based training manuals and standardized onboarding programs for every operational functionOwn ERP system optimization, configuration integrity,



and user adoption across all departmentsBuild KPI dashboards and department scorecards so leadership has real-time visibility into what mattersImplement and run EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) or equivalent operating frameworkEnsure knowledge is embedded in documentation and systems, not concentrated in individualsPeople & OrganizationLead, develop, and hold accountable all operational department managers — build a strong, self-sufficient leadership layerOwn the performance management system: goal setting, regular reviews, and genuine accountability for resultsDesign operational org structure and resourcing plans to support scaleBuild leadership bench strength and redundancy, ensure no single person is a critical dependencyDrive training, development programs, and a culture of continuous improvement across all operational teamsExecution & Continuous ImprovementOwn internal project prioritization and end-to-end execution — from scope to deliveryDrive a culture of continuous improvement: identify root causes, implement fixes, and prevent recurrenceSystematically identify and eliminate operational friction points that slow the team or create customer impactEnsure problems are solved once, correctly,



and permanently — not patched repeatedlyMaintain an improvement roadmap that is aligned to company's growth priorities and direction from the Vice PresidentQualifications:Experience & BackgroundProven senior operations leader at Director or VP level with a record of scaling multi-department businessesExperience in asset-intensive or operationally complex environments such as equipment rental, logistics, or constructionBuilt operating systems and SOP frameworks from the ground up, establishing structure and accountabilityLed ERP implementation or major system optimization with enterprise-wide adoptionOwned full operational budgets with clear P&L accountability and measurable performance outcomesBuilt, developed, and held accountable a manager-level leadership teamDemonstrated ability to assess talent, elevate standards, and align people to the right rolesLeadership & CharacterOperates with full personal accountability for resultsDecisive, self-managed, and disciplined in executionLeads firmly and fairly, holding standards without politicsDirect, transparent communicator who addresses issues constructivelyResilient and composed under pressureAdaptable and forward-looking in dynamic environmentsPersuasive and capable of aligning cross-functional stakeholdersCommitted to ongoing qualified growth and organizational developmentOperating StyleOutcome-driven, focused on measurable operational performanceHighly structured; brings clarity and order to complex initiativesStrong planner and organizer who sequences work effectivelyIdentifies root causes and drives disciplined problem resolutionCommunicates risks early with context and proposed solutionsChallenges assumptions using logic and data rather than hierarchyMoves with urgency while maintaining quality and controlEnsures leadership alignment and consistent execution across departmentsCompensation:$140-170k annual base salaryPerformance-based bonus (15-20% of base salary)Extended health benefits5% RRSP matchingCellphone/LaptopPaid Time Off (amount negotiable)
