DECIEM is a collective of disrupters and doers, creatives and scientists, focused on reimagining the beauty industry with a vertically integrated structure that includes research, manufacturing, retail, and brand infrastructure.
We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Manager who will lead the transformation of the financial reporting function. The role reports to the Director, Financial Controller and is based in Liberty Village on a hybrid schedule.
This is a 1‑year contract chance with hybrid working arrangements.
Pay Range
The anticipated base salary is $100,000 to $115,000, depending on experience, skills, education and budget. Salary may vary by location.
What you'll be doing in this role
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and excellence by attracting and developing team members and setting an expectation of ownership over financial statements.
- Create influence and partnerships across the organization and with ELC counterparts to enable integration and transformation initiatives.
- Set goals in accordance with corporate mandates, communicate milestones, and provide regular feedback to direct reports.
- Manage and review company financial statements, detailed accounting records and support accurate financial and accounts reporting.
- Drive performance of period‑end financial close responsibilities, including journal entry preparation, balance‑sheet account reconciliations and P&L; review.
- Oversee implications of master data changes to ensure external mapping schemes are updated and understood.
- Communicate to key stakeholders and partner with different pillars to provide financial information as requested about results and key metrics.
- Own the timeliness and accuracy of the month‑end close and annual close processes.
- Manage reporting and reconciliations of GL accounts with accuracy.
- Oversee timely recording of capital expenditures and ensure internal control policy on capital purchases is followed.
- Review and analyze transactions to ensure accurate cost‑center allocation and account classification.
Skills and qualifications
- Strong financial knowledge and experience with systems, data reporting and analytics.
- Licensed CPA or equivalent designation.
- Five or more years of progressive financial reporting experience with at least two years leading people.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Experience with MS Dynamics D365 (ERP) is an asset.
