Orla Mining is looking for an experienced Development Miner to work in office at the Musselwhite Mine, focusing on operational excellence and meeting production targets. This role is pivotal to our mining activities.
As a Development Miner at Orla, you will lead the Underground Development team and carry out key production tasks. Candidates should have Grade 11 education and UG Common Core Certification, along with the ability to operate essential mining equipment safely and efficiently. Your experience and skills will be crucial to achieving our operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and motivate the Underground Development team
• Assist with Jumbo operations in scaling and drilling
• Drill and load explosives for mining operations




• Read and follow engineering plans accurately
• Handle mucking cycles with Scooptrams
Requirements:
• Minimum of Grade 11 education required
• UG Common Core Certification is mandatory
• At least 5 years of underground experience
• Competency in operating Jumbo drill and related machinery
• Strong safety practices and housekeeping skills
