In this senior role, you will oversee mechanical engineering from concept to execution, ensuring all designs meet high standards of safety and quality. Your leadership will extend to evaluating design proposals, coordinating with contractors, and guiding team members to achieve successful implementation. This role is critical in fostering collaboration among various engineering disciplines and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the mechanical design and procurement processes
• Evaluate and approve engineering deliverables and specifications
• Collaborate with teams to address design challenges
• Supervise vendor interactions and documentation reviews
• Ensure engineering compliance with relevant codes and standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in an industrial setting
• Licensed Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario is preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of ASME and relevant industry standards
• Experience using CAD tools like SolidWorks or AutoCAD
