Position Title: 310T Fleet Mechanic - Markham, ON

Employment Type: Permanent, Full time

Compensation: $41.45 per hour

Position Summary

The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the Dufferin Concrete & Ontario Redimix fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities

- Perform inspections, diagnose, and repair ready-mix trucks through preventative & scheduled maintenance.
- Perform removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components.
- Use diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns.
- Order required parts and maintain parts inventory.
- Document repairs on work orders and complete inspection sheets as required.
- Communicate with operations and supervisory staff on equipment availability.
- Prioritize jobs and work safely on all equipment.
- Follow shop procedures and company policies relating to use of shop and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.

Requirements





- Valid 310T Truck & Coach license or a registered training agreement.
- Valid class 'G' Driver's License.
- Sound working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps/motors, and air brake systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a safety-first approach.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel to local sites as required.
