Purpose

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will develop existing customers and identify new customers and opportunities in existing and new markets for Grayloc and, where applicable, OII business as a whole. You will drive sales leads that are critical for long‑term business development, identify trends and opportunities for product development, and work with the Grayloc Business Development Manager and GM to develop a strategy to increase sales within various markets.

Location

- Hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

- Serve existing and new customers within Grayloc and, where applicable, the OII business.
- Implement sales and related business strategies.
- Execute a plan to align the sales funnel with organizational goals and targets.
- Sell, promote, and communicate to current and potential new clients.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations to key clients and prospects.
- Enhance market position by addressing technical questions and updating marketing materials based on VOC and other market factors.
- Contribute to tenders and product proposal development.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries.
- Track sales opportunities and keep management informed through activity reports and regular meetings.
- Maintain market knowledge by networking, reviewing publications, and monitoring competition.
- Develop strong relationships with key and potential clients in the target markets.
- Use existing contacts to locate decision makers and build relationships.
- Develop new contacts when none exist.




- Influence decision makers and drive tactical sales.
- Collaborate with BD and corporate marketing to develop marketing materials.
- Represent Grayloc at trade shows, professional meetings, and industry forums.
- Educate clients to drive new sales.
- Understand client requirements and feed this information back for recent products or services.
- Provide feedback on client satisfaction.

- Understand overall growth objectives in existing and new markets and coordinate with Grayloc departments on product and market expansion.
- Identify customer needs, including market‑specific certification/qualifications, and uncover new business opportunities.
- Provide input to monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasting activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of competitors.
- Attend workshops, trade shows, and seminars to stay updated on industry changes.

Additional Duties

- Learn Grayloc products and services and support business units in compiling sales and marketing literature.
- Work closely with the Grayloc Business Development Manager and Sales Managers to align processes globally.
- Assist in identifying product line or regional weaknesses and improvement requests.
- Collaborate with the team to pursue common goals.
- Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.





Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Business Development Manager – Grayloc Products.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering‑based discipline or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum three years of experience in an engineering or technical role.
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems, spreadsheet software, word processing software, and presentation software.
- Ability to become technically savvy with Grayloc’s products and services.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

Desired Qualifications

- Knowledge of the flange/clamp connection market for oilfield and/or refinery industry.
- Experience in nuclear, oil & gas, maritime, or subsea industry.
- MBA from an accredited college or university.

Working Conditions

- Office work: primarily indoors during the day, occasionally at night.
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust.
- Work surface is stable and flat.

Physical Activity / Requirements

- Lift up to 20 pounds.
- Climb, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach.
- Lift up to 10 pounds.
- Stand, sit with back supported, and perform repetitive arm and hand movements.
