You will lead funding analysis and forecasting activities, partnering across multiple lines of business to deliver accurate, data-driven insights on liquidity, maturities, and funding strategies. With a heightened emphasis on precision, attention to detail, and clear communication, you will oversee reporting and contribute to high-impact monthly and quarterly deliverables, while shaping funding updates and ad hoc analysis. Familiarity with fixed income markets is an asset. What sets this opportunity apart is its forward-looking mandate, leveraging tools such as AI, SQL, and Python to enhance forecasting accuracy, automate processes, and elevate the function from operational execution to strategic influence. If you’re looking to broaden your enterprise perspective, deepen your impact, and lead with both rigor and innovation, this is a compelling next step. Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Capital Management team to structure and execute equity funding transactions (e.g., risk transfer). Recommend pricing, tenors, and transaction sizes for programs and financing solutions (e.g., equity issuances, senior debt financings, and structured products, including credit cards, home equity lines, mortgages, covered bonds, Canada mortgage-backed securities, and mortgage-backed securitizations). Advise stakeholders on risks, financial implications, and technical aspects to ensure alignment with plans and programs. Monitor market conditions and key risk indicators to ensure market risk management activities add value and hedging strategies are effective. Serve as a subject-matter expert for external bond brokers discussing securitization and financing opportunities and implement these opportunities for the Bank. Develop and maintain expertise on regulatory guidelines and directives applicable to Treasury; ensure BMO Financial Group remains compliant with external regulations. Establish effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Break down strategic issues and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations on large-corporate funding. Calculate a forecast of the Bank’s structural liquidity position and TLAC to inform and optimize funding strategy decisions. Focus primarily on one business line or operating group within BMO, with flexibility to broaden scope as needed. Provide specialized advice, analytical support, and technical assistance. Exercise judgment to identify problems, determine causes, and resolve within defined limits. Work independently and manage non-routine situations; responsibilities may expand as needed.
