Position Details

Full‑time Youth Justice Team / Restorative Justice / Youth Mental Health Position – Kapuskasing (with travel throughout the NEOFACS Cochrane Catchment area as required). Salary: $58,688 – $79,295 per year.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

- Provide intervention and support services to young persons involved in the youth criminal justice system, focusing on community reintegration, social skill development, and coping strategies.
- Deliver least‑intrusive, community‑based interventions through restorative justice processes, court‑ordered attendance programming, and mental health diversion.
- Assist and support youth and families to promote accountability, rehabilitation, mental wellness, and community safety.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Law and Justice,



or Social Work preferred (College diploma in Social Service Work or Child and Youth Work also considered).
- Thorough knowledge and experience interpreting and applying the legislative acts, regulations, and policies of the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) and the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible schedule and travel as required.
- Bilingualism (English/French) required.
- Minimum G2 driver’s license at the time of application, with readiness to obtain a valid G Class license or access to a personal vehicle.
