Senior Project Manager – Investment Technology & Operations

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Initiatives and Delivery, the Senior Project Manager leads complex investment technology and operational initiatives across the organization. This hands‑on role entails end‑to‑end delivery, business analysis, data analysis, testing, and implementation of scalable solutions in asset management and financial services. Responsibilities

Project Delivery Lead

Lead end‑to‑end delivery of strategic technology and operational initiatives across Investment Operations, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Client Reporting teams. Establish project governance, plans, timelines, milestones, and execution frameworks for complex cross‑functional projects. Drive project execution, ensuring deliverables meet business objectives and are completed on time. Manage scope, risks, issues, dependencies, action items, and status across multiple concurrent initiatives. Coordinate implementation, deployment planning, post‑production validation, and production support activities. Track progress against timelines and budgets, escalating risks and blockers proactively.

Business and Solution Analysis

Gather, document, and refine business and functional requirements with internal and external stakeholders. Translate requirements into user stories, process flows, business rules, and data mappings. Analyze data and workflows to support solution design, testing, reconciliation, and issue resolution. Document current and future state processes and partner with technology teams to define practical, scalable solutions.

Testing and Implementation

Lead and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across project initiatives. Develop comprehensive test strategies, test cases, validation approaches, and reconciliation processes. Execute hands‑on testing, including validating data flows, calculations, interfaces,



and operational workflows. Perform SQL queries and data analysis to investigate issues, validate results, and support defect resolution. Coordinate defect triage, issue remediation, retesting, and stakeholder sign‑off activities. Ensure quality control checkpoints, acceptance criteria, and implementation readiness reviews are completed.

Stakeholder Management and Communication

Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project leadership. Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and governance meetings to support decision‑making and delivery progress. Provide clear status updates, risk reporting, and executive‑ready communications. Build strong relationships across teams and drive accountability, alignment, and adoption.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, product management, or consulting within financial services or asset management. Proven experience delivering complex business and technology transformation initiatives. Strong understanding of investment operations and front‑to‑back investment management workflows, including trading, compliance, settlements, accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and risk management. Experience with system implementations, integrations, data migrations, and operational transformation initiatives. Robust analytical, problem‑solving,



and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive delivery forward in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority. Experience working in Agile delivery environments and a continuous improvement mindset. Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, analysis, and issue investigation. Experience with requirements documentation, process mapping, data mapping, and system integration analysis. Hands‑on experience supporting testing activities, including test case development, execution, and validation of business and technical requirements. Familiarity with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms. Experience with investment management and market data platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Charles River, Aladdin, Eagle, Morningstar, or similar systems is an asset. Nice to Have

Certifications such as PMP, CSM, CBAP, or CFA are considered strong assets. Benefits

Hybrid working environment – 4 days in‑office per week. Salary range: $115,000 – $135,000 (Ontario – may vary by profile and experience). French proficiency (spoken and written) is mandatory for all positions in Quebec (Montreal and Laval). English proficiency is also required across all operations.
