Job Title: Farm Supervisor

Wage: $23 /hour

Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
- Organize, plan, prepare and supervise routine farming activities such as planting, irrigation, harvesting, grading, sorting, packing etc.
- Open the farm in the morning and close at the end of the business day
- Hire, train, and supervise farm workers
- Assign work to workers, supervise the work and evaluate worker’s performance
- Create work schedules and establish procedures
- Monitor crop quality and ensure high quality standards of farm products
- Ensure farm safety procedures are followed
- Plan, order and maintain inventory of farm supplies and inputs, including all necessary recordkeeping
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust farming operations accordingly
- Monitor, maintain,



and coordinate repairs of farm equipment and tools
- Resolve customer’s complaints and work-related issues, prepare and submit reports to manager when required

Employment Requirements

- Completion of post-secondary education
- Previous work experience in a farm or agricultural setting
- Responsible and reliable
- Positive team player
- Hard working
