We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Room team.The ER RN will be responsible for providing high-quality, timely, and compassionate care to patients in urgent and emergent situations, often under pressure.This role requires robust clinical judgment, the ability to prioritize effectively, and excellent communication skills.
- Triage patients upon arrival based on acuity and clinical urgency.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and provide treatments in accordance with physician orders.
- Respond quickly to critical situations such as trauma, cardiac arrest, and other medical emergencies.
- Monitor vital signs, initiate IV therapy, wound care, and assist in procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate care and stabilize patients.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, procedures, and discharge plans.
- Document all care provided accurately and timely using electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Maintain infection control standards and follow safety protocols at all times.
- Participate in code blue and rapid response team activities when required.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency or acute care nursing required.
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
- CTAS.
