At a Glance The Development Manager is a critical technical leader within the Product Operating Model (POM), accountable for building high‑performing engineering teams and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and high‑quality solutions. This role serves as the primary connector between Product Managers, Architects, and Developers to align technical execution with business outcomes. Responsibilities Team Leadership & Talent Development: Hire, mentor, and coach engineers to foster career growth and technical excellence. Delivery & Execution Management: Oversee timelines and commitments, facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning), and proactively identify and remove blockers. Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers to balance technical feasibility with business priorities and translate strategies into actionable technical roadmaps. Quality & Standards Guardianship: Enforce accountability for software quality, ensuring solutions meet security, performance, and scalability standards through CI/CD and code reviews. Technical Innovation: Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, such as Generative AI or Machine Learning, to enhance product capabilities and user experiences. Technical Expert: Proficient in modern engineering stacks, often requiring expertise in Java, Node.Js, React, or Python, alongside distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (e.G., GCP). Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and E‑Business Suite (EBS) R12/R12.2 is also required. Collaborative Communicator: Skilled at building alignment across cross‑functional stakeholders and translating complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
