We are looking for a Storage Architect / Specialist to join our consulting team in Calgary for a six-month contract.
This is an onsite position.
As a Chrome Technologies consultant, the candidate will work with our clients to deliver the projects entrusted to us.
Responsibilities
- Assess the current enterprise storage environment and recommend a scalable target architecture using Nasuni, Qumulo, and NetApp technologies.
- Design and implement storage, file services, caching, replication, and data protection solutions across on-premises and hybrid environments.
- Configure, integrate, and optimize storage platforms to improve performance, availability, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
- Lead storage migrations, upgrades, and consolidation initiatives while minimizing operational disruption and data risk.
- Troubleshoot complex storage, capacity, latency, connectivity, and performance issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Produce architecture diagrams, implementation plans, operational documentation,
and technical recommendations for infrastructure and business stakeholders.
We are looking for senior-level professionals with both architecture and hands-on implementation experience in enterprise storage environments:
- Design and implement scalable storage architectures
- Optimize performance, availability, and cost-efficiency
- Work in hybrid/on-prem enterprise environments
- Comfortable working onsite in a cooperative team environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders
Nice-to-Have
- Experience supporting large enterprise or energy sector environments
- Familiarity with cloud-integrated storage strategies
- Previous oil & gas industry experience
- Experience with Energy and Utility
