Route 53 Domains is the domain registration service within Amazon Web Services, enabling millions of customers to register, transfer, renew, and manage domain names across hundreds of Top-Level Domains (TLDs). We operate at scale, integrating with domain registries worldwide and managing critical infrastructure that underpins our customers' online presence. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities

- Develop and operate backend services in a high-availability, production environment
- Contribute to system design, code reviews, and operational excellence
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, participate in on-call rotations
- Write automated tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, support, and partner teams

Basic Qualifications

- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience




- 4+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 4+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience

Preferred Qualifications

- 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Knowledge of qualified software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D; insurance), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to improve health and well-being.
