Job Description:

Role SummaryThe SAP Fioneer FPSL Banking Consultant is responsible for hands on functional configuration and implementation of SAP Fioneer Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) for banking products.The role supports detailed design| build| testing| and deployment of intregration with source system| event based accounting| ensuring accurate subledger postings and seamless integration with SAP S4HANA Finance in line with IFRS 9 and local GAAP requirements.The consultant acts as a functional execution specialist| translating approved finance designs into FPSL configuration and supporting testing| reconciliation| and go live activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. FPSL Functional Configuration (Banking)

Configure FPSL objects for banking products including

- oLoans and advances
- oDeposits
- oMoney market instruments
- oSecurities bonds (if in scope)

Implement FPSL components

- oContract types and contract attributes
- oEvent types and event processing
- oPosting schemas and accounting determinations

Support setup of

- oValuation areas
- oSubledger accounting layers
- oAccounting principles ledgers

- Accounting IFRS 9 Support

Implement FPSL accounting logic aligned to

- oIFRS 9 classification (AC FVOCI FVTPL)
- oEffective Interest Rate (EIR) based accruals
- oFee and charge handling

Support postings related to

- oInitial recognition
- oAccruals and amortization
- oDerecognition events

Assist Finance LeadArchitect in validating

- oAccounting outcomes




- oPosting results at contract and GL level

- Integration Support (Source Systems S4HANA)

Support inbound integration from

- oCore banking systems
- oTreasury trading platforms

Assist with

- oEvent payload validation
- oAttribute mappings and enrichments

Support outbound integration to

- oSAP S4HANA Universal Journal
- Validate
- oDocument splitting
- oGL account derivation
- oPosting completeness and consistency

- Testing| Reconciliation Defect Resolution

Execute and support

- oUnit Testing (UT)
- oSystem Integration Testing (SIT)
- oUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Perform and support reconciliations

- oSource system vs FPSL
- oFPSL subledger vs SAP GL

Analyze and resolve

- oPosting errors
- oAccounting mismatches
- oIntegration defects

Support parallel run activities with legacy subledgers

- Documentation Knowledge Transfer

Prepare functional deliverables including

- oConfiguration documents
- oTest scripts and test evidence
- oMapping and reconciliation documents

Support

- oKnowledge transfer to client teams
- oGo live readiness and hypercare activities

Required Skills ExperienceMandatory

- 48 years of experience in banking finance or accounting system implementations
- Practical experience with
- oSAP Fioneer FPSL (Banking context)
- oSAP S4HANA Finance integration

- Strong understanding of

- oBanking products accounting
- oEvent based transaction based accounting concepts

- Positive working knowledge of

- oIFRS 9 fundamentals (implementation perspective)
