The opportunity
We are seeking a Manager/ Data Architect for our AI & Data practice team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership experience, hands‑on expertise with Databricks, and a proven track record in proposal and delivery.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Manager/ Data Architect you will support the delivery of key projects, build valuable relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, and develop strong capabilities through formal training and mentorship.

- Develop solution plans before project kickoff that balance costs, risks, and quality.

- Collaborate closely with business/client to meet requirements and address aspects such as cost, privacy, security, continuity, and integration.
- Identify, define, and implement reusable assets and standards across products and portfolios.
- Apply relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices across technology programs.
- Contribute to architecture governance structures, methodologies, and compliance activities.
- Work with vendors to assess products, understand delivery models, and support implementation.
- Manage multiple projects, build consensus, mediate conflicts, and provide advisory services.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Maintain relationships with business, IT, and vendors/industry analysts to stay current on broader enterprise trends.
- Recognize industry technology trends and emerging technologies, and drive their adoption within EY.
- Advocate technical quality and emerging technologies through mentoring, hackathons, and communities.
- Educate stakeholders on the purpose and benefits of data architecture.
- Guide others in resolving complex data architecture issues and solve escalated project aspects.
- Monitor project progress and quality, and review due diligence to ensure compliance with architectural design.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, informatics, operations research, engineering, or related field.
- Awareness of emerging issues, regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
- Experience with data platforms, data modelling, and Databricks.
- Experience with Azure Cloud, data engineering, and related technologies.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Interest in data analytics and programming with strong technical problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with data visualization, Microsoft Fabric, Unity Catalog, Databricks assets bundles (DAB), CI/CD, and data migration.

Salary ranges (Toronto): $114,000 to $171,000.
