Job Summary

Accelyst is seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Test Engineer to support enterprise application development and modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies across multiple application platforms. This role requires extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, defect management, performance testing, and collaboration with cross-functional Agile and Waterfall project teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Business Analysts to review business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases aligned with business requirements.




- Execute end-to-end functional testing across enterprise applications.
- Perform regression, integration, system, performance, load, security, backend, web services, user acceptance, and production acceptance testing.
- Develop and execute testing checklists throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Validate production readiness and participate in release and implementation activities.
- Identify, document, prioritize, track, and validate software defects through resolution.
- Conduct manual testing to supplement and validate automated testing results where necessary.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to support vulnerability testing activities.
- Configure and maintain testing environments for various application platforms.
- Produce detailed QA documentation, testing reports, defect summaries, and project status updates.
- Support architecture review checkpoints by contributing required Quality Assurance artifacts.
- Partner with Project Managers, Developers, Business SMEs, and technical teams throughout project execution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.




- Extensive experience developing test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases.
- Strong experience delivering QA activities using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Hands-on experience performing:
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- Regression Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Production Acceptance Testing (PAT)
- Performance Testing
- Load Testing
- Security Testing
- Web Services Testing
- System Testing
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and automation best practices.
- Robust experience configuring testing and system environments.
- Experience testing both custom-developed applications and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions.
- Experience testing multi-tier, multi-platform, integrated enterprise applications and reporting systems.
- Experience testing web, desktop, and mobile applications.
- Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of systems debugging, optimization, and application troubleshooting.
- Experience using defect tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or TestRail.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working within Public Sector or Government environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise IT standards, quality assurance frameworks, and testing governance.
- Experience supporting enterprise application modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with release management and production deployment processes.
- Experience contributing QA deliverables during architecture review and governance checkpoints.
