Support essential health services as a full-time Community Assistant with SLFNHA in Nibinamik. Manage the Community Health Hub, provide client support, and coordinate transportation services.
Under SLFNHA's Developmental Services, you'll assist in delivering allied health services and administrative tasks. This role is both community-focused and energetic, as you engage with clients and families, ensuring their needs are met. Ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while respecting First Nations culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize airport transportation for staff members
• Coordinate bookings for the Community Health Hub
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the building
• Order supplies and coordinate maintenance requests
• Monitor client progress and document appropriately
Requirements:
• One year of experience with health or education providers
• Must possess a valid full G-class Driving license
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and internet tools
• Basic understanding of Anishinaabe language is an asset
• Willingness to promote health priorities of the community
