Position Summary

The role of Attorney directly supports Nordex’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As an Attorney, you will provide legal support (legal advice, contract negotiation and drafting, dispute management, regulatory compliance, and insurance management) to all business teams within Nordex North America. You will be part of a Legal Team focused on corporate and commercial law matters, with particular emphasis on the preparation and negotiation of complex tenders with customers for the supply and maintenance of wind turbine generators for wind farms throughout North America.

Additional responsibilities include preparation and negotiation of supply contracts with suppliers, financing and project financing agreements, and providing legal support to Sales, Project Management, Service, Engineering, Human Resources, and related teams. You may also be involved in international legal projects of the Nordex Group from time to time.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare, review, edit, and negotiate commercial contracts with customers (supply, service, finance, warranty agreements) and suppliers (master purchasing agreements, subcontractor agreements, logistics contracts, consulting agreements).
- Provide legal advice to all company business teams on diverse legal issues, especially to Sales, Procurement, Project Management, Service, Finance, and People & Culture.
- Prepare, review, edit, and negotiate non‑disclosure agreements with prospective and existing customers and suppliers.
- Manage insurance issues, including coverage analysis, claims support, claim investigations, and coordination with external brokers. Resolve legal disputes through claim investigation and direction of outside litigation counsel.
- Manage corporate compliance documents (corporate resolutions, stock registers, certificates, corporate minutes) and government registrations.

What You Have





- Law degree (Juris Doctor) from an accredited Canadian law school.
- Current law license in Quebec.
- 4 to 8 years of law firm practice or in‑house experience with international business matters.
- Ability to operate, influence, and counsel at the senior level within the legal function and to business clients.
- Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
- Highly motivated and business‑oriented; capable of working independently with support from the global Nordex Legal Team.
- Exposure to international business law is a plus.
- Professional experience in complex matters and providing sophisticated, practical advice aligned with company goals and highest integrity.
- Significant experience preparing and negotiating supply contracts, maintenance and service contracts, subcontractor agreements, project financing agreements, non‑disclosure agreements, and purchase terms and conditions, including U.C.C. Article 2 provisions.
- Experience with corporate governance issues.
- Risk management, insurance, and employment law experience is a plus.
- Experience with transport and shipping contracts (bills of lading, common shipping documents) is a plus.
- Ability to complete all Canadian regulatory requirements for pre‑employment screening.
- Must be able to work in Canada without company sponsorship and able to travel to the US for training.
- Fluency in English and French is mandatory. Spanish and/or German is a plus.




- Ability to travel domestic and international locations on business as required and obtain a passport.
- Driving is an essential function of the job; must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insured under our auto insurance policy.

Compensation

Exempt salary of $162,000 – $195,000 CAD with up to a 15% bonus. Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job‑related considerations.
