Lead Architect

- Location: Montreal, Canada
- Contract Length: 5 Months

We at Raise are hiring a Lead Architect for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end technical solution and target-state architecture for migration initiatives.
- Define migration patterns, disposition strategies, and modernization approaches for applications and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain the migration roadmap, sequencing, and technical migration plans.
- Design and govern landing-zone architecture aligned with enterprise cloud standards.
- Evaluate application portfolios and determine modernization, rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, or retain strategies.
- Establish complexity scoring models and provide technical assessments for migration planning.
- Review application dependencies, integration patterns, and infrastructure requirements.
- Provide technical governance and architectural assurance across all planning deliverables.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and data architects to produce integrated migration strategies.
- Present architectural recommendations and technical risks to executive stakeholders and governance boards.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, cloud best practices, and operational requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

- 12+ years of enterprise architecture or solution architecture experience.
- Experience leading large-scale cloud transformation or datacenter migration programs.
- Strong expertise in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Deep understanding of application modernization and migration strategies.




- Experience with landing zone design and cloud governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of networking, infrastructure, virtualization, storage, middleware, and enterprise integration.
- Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Solid stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
- Excellent documentation, presentation, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- TOGAF Certification
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert / AWS Solutions Architect Professional / Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Experience with enterprise migration assessment tools
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies
